sparking
stories

A four-week storytelling experience. November 2025.

You've got stories. You know you do. They're sitting there — half-formed, half-remembered, half-said…Secret Stories is about finding them, shaping them and telling them.

How it works

Throughout November, you'll receive a weekly letter from me — not a newsletter, not a marketing email. A proper letter. Each one contains:

  • A storytelling secret — something I've learned in 25 years of brand building that changes how you think about your story

  • A specific challenge to solve — a real brand storytelling problem (like how to talk about what you do without sounding like everyone else, or how to write an About page that actually sounds like you)

  • A prompt to get you writing — short, focused, doable in 15 minutes

You'll also have access to a private space to share what you write, see what others are working on, and ask questions along the way.

That's it. No homework that piles up. No pressure to produce something perfect. Just four weeks of letters, prompts and a quiet corner to work on your stories alongside other people doing the same thing.

WHO IT’S FOR

    • You've bought the book (or you're thinking about it) and you want to go deeper

    • You know your story matters but you can't seem to find the right words

    • You want a gentle, guided way to start — not a six-month commitment

    • You like the idea of writing but you're not "a writer"

    • You're curious about the Brand Seasons® Playgroup but not ready to jump in yet

THE DETAILS:

  • When: Throughout November 2025

    • Format: Weekly letter (email) + private chat space

    • Time commitment: 15–30 minutes per week, at your own pace

    • Price: £90

Note: you don't need a business to join. If you have an idea, are building a creative practice, or just have a desire to explore storytelling, you have all you need!

Branding is storytelling

Your brand is the sum of how your business is experienced. It can be felt as much as it is seen. Here we explore strategy, style and story, and how they meet to create a brand with real substance.

1

Businesses have seasons

I like to pair the natural rhythm of a season with the core pillar of a brand. The season tells you when to act; the pillar tells you what to focus on. In this segment, we make a map for growing your business in tune with your capacity.

2

Defining your difference

Your true difference is rarely a single thing; it's a blend. This is where we explore what sets you apart and look at the intersection of your professional expertise and your human experience. Then we get to the fun part; Sparking Stories!

3

THE TOOLKIT

Ahead of the session you’ll receive a toolkit with 28 storytelling prompts.

If you’d like support to help you describe who you are and why you do what you do, or you’re simply looking for a way to stay connected, these prompts are here to creatively unblock and support content strategy.

THE WRITING

After a short break, we'll move into the guided writing session, where the teaching becomes practice.

Together, we'll work through three rounds of storytelling prompts, drawn from the Sparking Stories toolkit. Each round gives you time to write freely, followed by an optional moment to share a line or an insight in the chat. There's no pressure to share; you can always pass and keep writing.

We'll close with an invitation to share one action you'll take in the next two weeks, and I'll follow up with a personal check-in email two weeks later to see how you got on.

You’ll leave with:

  • A clearer sense of your brand voice and story

  • At least five pieces of writing you can adapt for your website, social media platforms or emails

  • The Sparking Stories toolkit with prompts to return to whenever you're feeling stuck or unsure

  • An introduction to a framework for approaching your marketing content with more ease and intention
